Our ceremonial cacao is made from 100% pure Criollo cacao paste — considered the highest quality and most ancestral variety. It is sourced from over 90 indigenous farming families in the central highlands of Pucallpa, Peru, grown at altitudes of 1300–1900 meters above sea level using ancestral polyculture farming rooted in Ashaninka tradition.
These farmers treat the land as sacred, cultivating cacao alongside native plants to honor biodiversity and protect the soil. They use organic, sustainable methods, refusing the monoculture practices that have caused devastation elsewhere in the region. Their approach is guided by a deep relationship with nature and a commitment to preserving the old ways.
The cacao is stone-ground, raw, and never tempered or diluted. The result is a rich, fragrant paste with deep fruity undertones, dense in antioxidants and energetic potency. Its fermentation is carefully managed to preserve the bean’s full ceremonial strength while still honoring flavor and balance.
